The Compromise on New ‘Suburgatory’

Suburgatory - Promo - Rex Lee, Carly Chaikin, Cheryl Hines, Jeremy Sisto, Jane Levy, Alan Tudyk & Allie Grant

'Suburgatory' airs Wednesdays on ABC

Well, the Winter TV season is winding down. Next week is the Suburgatory season finale. We probably shouldn’t be concerned, and possibly should expect a renewal announcement before too long. TV by the Numbers thinks the funny series should be a shoo-in for a second season renewal, and I’d be inclined to agree. Let’s hope ABC is down with that, because the hijinks in Chatswin are definitely worth watching.

On tonight’s new Suburgatory, “The Great Compromise,” as Tessa adjusts to having Eden living with them, she finds Eden helpful in her pursuit of a summer internship, while George has difficulty with Eden’s parenting. Meanwhile, Sheila interferes with Noah’s relationship with Eden, and Malik and Lisa debate which camp to attend.

Cast:

Jeremy Sisto as George Altman
Jane Levy as Tessa Altman
Cheryl Hines as Dallas Royce
Alan Tudyk as Noah Werner
Carly Chaikin as Dalia Royce
Allie Grant as Lisa Shay
Ana Gasteyer as Sheila Shay
Rex Lee as Mr. Wolfe

Recurring Cast:

Maestro Harrell as Malik
Alicia Silverstone as Eden

Guest Cast:

Bob Wiltfong as Jason
Armen Weitzman as Troy

“The Great Compromise” was written by Charlie Carlisle and Aimee Jones, and directed by Randy Zisk.

Suburgatory airs tonight, May 9, at 7:30pm CT/8:30pm ET on ABC.

See Ya on ‘New Girl’ Season 1 Finale – Photos

Already?!! That’s right, it’s season finale time for fabulous freshman series, New Girl. The good news is that FOX has already announced the hilarious series will return for second season. Whew! New Girl has been a wonderful addition as the funniest series on TV this season. Seriously! The. Funniest. Zooey Deschanel leads a terrific cast, and the series has given us some of the best TV laughs in years. No wonder we’re already looking forward to next season!

Last week, on “Backslide,” after Nick had already said goodbye to “new Nick” and gone back to Caroline, Jess also didn’t take Schmidt’s and Winston’s advice about not backsliding. They thought she was backsliding by calling Russell, but that was not the case – she called Paul instead. After they slept together, Jess went to talk to Paul at school and he blurted out that their booty call was a total mess-up because he’s now in love with someone else. Even worse, he had already bought an engagement ring for his new lady, so Jess agreed to keep their tryst on the lowdown. After getting back to the loft, Jess decided it wasn’t right to have cheated with Paul – though she didn’t know she was doing THAT at the time! So Jess returned to Paul’s classroom to tell him they had to tell. When his girl arrived she had the same hair and dorky clothes that Jess wears, the glasses, the works. Jess, who had witnessed Paul’s “worst crying face ever,” decided not to say anything, but it was Paul who blurted out that he had cheated. The girl was appalled, but Jess stepped in and helped Paul smooth things over and she pushed him down to his knees so he could propose properly. So, no more Jimmy Stewart sex between Jess and Paul. Darnit.

Back at the loft, Schmidt continued to have problems with his manhood. Cece was forced to wear ugly clothes so she wouldn’t look as attractive, but it’s Schmidt, so that didn’t even help. Nick thought he was helping Caroline look for a new apartment, but then she asked him to move in with her. Schmidt and Winston forced Nick to watch a DVD he had made for himself to watch in case he ever thought of getting back together. His message to “future Nick” fell on deaf ears though as Nick is planning on staying with Caroline. Use your brain man!

On tonight’s New Girl, “See Ya,” the gang takes a little detour for an unexpected trip to the desert. And, as Nick gets ready to move out from the loft the gang is faced with a tough decision.

Cast:

Zooey Deschanel as Jess
Jake Johnson as Nick
Max Greenfield as Schmidt
Lamorne Morris as Winston
Hannah Simone as Cece

Always on Season 4 Finale of ‘Castle’ – Photos

The season finale of Castle is just about upon us. Time flies when you’re having fun I guess! So, we know that Castle and Beckett have to have a bit more of a talk than they did last week, right? I mean, the lovely lady got her point across….she wasn’t ready to talk about it. And, Castle seemed to understand. I’m so torn! We want them to get together….you know you do too! BUT, us and the writers also know about that little thing known as the Moonlighting curse. You take a terrific show, with terrific chemistry between the leads and give in to that temptation of making them a couple before the series ends, and Pow!, you have a crash course in a series death. What to do, what to do?! Whatever they decided, I’m sure the writers have something good in store for us tonight.

On tonight’s Castle, “Always,” when the murder of an Army veteran puts Beckett on the trail of the man who shot her, Castle must decide how much he’s willing to sacrifice to keep her safe. As secrets are revealed and feelings are put on the table, the lives of the detectives at the 12th Precinct may never be the same.

Cast:

Nathan Fillion as Richard Castle
Stana Katic as Det. Kate Beckett
Seamus Dever as Det. Kevin Ryan
Jon Huertas as Det. Javier Esposito
Tamala Jones as M.E. Lanie Parish
Penny Johnson Jerald as Captain Gates
Molly Quinn as Alexis Castle
Susan Sullivan as Martha Rodgers

Guest Cast:

Tahmoh Penikett as Cole Maddox
Judith Scott as Evelyn Montgomery
Sal Lopez

“Always” was written by Terri Edda Miller and series creator Andrew Marlowe, and directed by series producer Rob Bowman.

Caught on New ‘Hawaii Five-0′ – Photos

Boy, we’re getting near the end of the Winter TV season for sure. Just one week left until the Season Two finale of Hawaii Five-0. But, tonight we get what looks to be an exciting penultimate episode of the season. Alex O’Loughlin is back as Five-0 leader, Steve McGarrett, and it’s time for the shizz to hit the fan with Wo Fat. Did you know that Hawaiian actor Mark Dacascos, who plays Wo Fat, is the “chairperson” on Iron Chef America: The Series on Food Network? I did not either until it came on after an episode of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives the other night. Interesting gig.

Keylela on New “The Killing” Tonight

It’s a lovely May Sunday, which means there’s a new The Killing for us tonight. The series from AMC continues to be riveting. We’re still a few episodes from hopefully finding out whodunit though! So many questions! What an intriguing and totally watchable series.

“The Killing” – S2, Ep 6 “Openings” Recap

The Killing - Logo

The Killing – Season 2, Episode 6 -

“Openings” – the episode opened with Terry telling Jasper’s dad, Michael Ames. He is who she got into the car with at the end of the previous episode. Terry is telling him they are still good together, but he basically told her to shove it. When she didn’t listen, he grabbed her face and told her to never call him again. Later, after Holder found out that Ames limo had taken the ferry to the casino the night Rosie was killed, Linden and Holder talked to Terry. She still insisted that her and Ames were good together, but that Ames had broken their “date” the night of Rosie’s murder.

Meanwhile, Linden and Holder talked to Jasper Ames. They found out their was a text to his father from Rosie saying “$5000, or I tell your wife.” Based on that, they were suspicious that Michael Ames was Rosie’s real dad and she had tried to blackmail him because of it. Which they felt could be motive for murder. They asked Jasper if he and Rosie had ever slept together – which, of course, would have been horrible if his father was also her father. Luckily, he told them he hadn’t. Holder then suggested that Rosie was giving it up to Jasper’s dad instead. Jasper was pissed, and he told them his dad had not arrived at home the night of Rosie’s murder until 4:00am, and that he wasn’t in his car.

Larsen informed Stan that Alexi didn’t kill Rosie. She asked him if he knew that Rosie wasn’t his daughter. He did know, and told her how he and Mitch had broken up and she got pregnant. He married her knowing she was carrying someone else’s child. So, he may be a former mobster but he’s definitely qualified for ‘nice guy’ – right? Stan then went and watched Alexi at his house. Later, Alexi found Stan at Rosie’s grave. He told him that he wasn’t expecting Stan to admit to killing his father but he wanted him to know he had watched him a lot, and that Rosie saved Stan’s life. Meaning if it weren’t for becoming friends with Rosie, Alexi would have killed Stan.

Richmond did an interview with one of those reporters that tries to get you to break down on TV. He did not flinch. He told her that what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, and then he told Jamie’s story about his grandfather Ted, who has lost his legs but still made a good life for him and his family. Jamie seemed pleased. Back at the hospital, Gwen showed up and offered to work with Richmond to help him win the election, which is a week away. She said it would be just business. Richmond didn’t respond so she left. But, Jamie said it was good to see her and later Richmond called her and told her she will start back on the campaign in the morning.

Linden got a call saying their warrant for the casino and Ames phone records had been denied. When they arrived at the precinct, jerkface Gil was leaving the new Lieutenant’s office. Jasper and Michael Ames were arriving with their attorney. The Lt. Carlson joined Linden and Holder to hear Jasper tell them that the message left on his father’s phone about the $5000 was left by him. He said they were at his father’s party and he was pissed, so he left that message just to piss his dad off. Lt. Carlson then let Linden know he has read her file. Later, Ames wife informed Linden and Holder that although she wasn’t at home the night of Rosie’s death, an affair would not have been motive. She told them her and Michael have an “agreement” – he gets to play around, but he can’t leave her because their prenuptial agreement stipulates that the money is all hers. When they asked if Michael could be Rosie’s father, his wife told them that during that time they had been in Indonesia rebuilding homes after a disaster, so there was no way Michael Ames was Rosie’s biological father.

At the motel, Mitch continued to be a terrible mother by staying away from her family. The girl she had befriended showed up at her door and she let her stay and take a shower. She washed the girls clothes, and they fell asleep on the bed. When she woke up it looked as though the girl had left and had taken all the money from Mitch’s wallet. Mitch saw where the girl had gone through her memory box. She then saw an envelope from the box on the floor. It was a letter telling a man that she was pregnant but she was going to marry someone else instead, a good man. It had the name David Rainer on the address, but it had never been sent.

Linden and Jack arrived back at their hotel. Jack was telling his mom how hadn’t really been able to study for his quiz because he had been sick. But, when he showed her his grade it was good and had been the second highest in his class all year. Linden was proud and got out a band-aid to stick the quiz to the fridge door. When she went over, though, the drawing of the trees that she carries from her old case was stuck to the fridge. Jack denied putting it there, and then she panicked and checked out in the hall. Holder got a call asking him if he was home, when he said yes Linden knocked on her door. She was already there with Jack and asked if they could stay the night. We then saw that someone was watching them up in the apartment from their car. They wore black gloves and smoked a cigarette while watching them.

The Killing stars Mireille Enos, Joel Kinnaman, Billy Campbell, Brent Sexton, Eric Ladin, Kristin Lehman, Michelle Forbes, and Liam James.

The Killing airs Sunday nights at 8:00pm CT/9:00pm ET on AMC.
